Increase your awareness of Māori knowledge, values, and learning/teaching methodologies, and how to apply these to your teaching context with this series of seven short sessions. Recommended for teaching and learning support practitioners seeking to expand or verify their understanding and practice.
Introduction to adult literacy, numeracy and cultural capability
Course covers the different kinds of literacy and numeracy, factors associated with low adult literacy and numeracy rates, concepts, approaches and models from Māori and Pacific worldviews, and how to apply this to your own work and context. Sessions 16 and 30 July.
